General Health for Men and Women

The World Health Organisation (WHO) lists symptoms or conditions for which acupuncture has been proved to be an effective treatment. Some of these include:

  • adverse reactions to radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy
  • allergic rhinitis (including hay fever)
  • depression
  • dysmenorrhoea
  • headache
  • hypertension
  • morning sickness, malposition of foetus, induction of labour, nausea and vomiting
  • neck pain, low back pain, sciatica, sprain, tennis elbow
  • postoperative pain

What does treatment involve?

Your first visit will involve a consultation to assess your general state of health. I will feel your pulses on both wrists and will observe the structure, colour and coating of your tongue.
The number of follow up treatments required will depend on your individual diagnosis. Some change is usually felt after five to six treatments.
